Lance Cpl. Travis M. Stottlemyer

Lance Cpl. Travis M. Stottlemyer, 20, of Hatfield, Pa., died Aug. 17 as a result of a non-hostile incident in Manama, Bahrain. He was assigned to the 3rd Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team Company, Marine Corps Security Forces, Norfolk, Va. 

Travis was a 2006 graduate of North Penn High School. He joined the U.S. Marine Corps in October 2006. He was assigned to the 3rd Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team Co., Marine Corps Security Forces. Travis' decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal and two Sea Service Deployment Ribbons. Travis was a devoted uncle to four nephews, Avery, Elias, Bradly and Albert Jr. "AJ" and four nieces, Alexis, Carliegh, Isabelle and Jocelyn. Travis also was a dedicated godfather to his niece, Jocelyn. Travis was a loving son, brother, and friend. A devoted Marine dedicated to the defense of his beloved country. He loved nothing more than to be outdoors, watch the Discovery Channel, hang out with friends and play with his nieces and nephews. He enjoyed listening to music, playing sports like softball, video games and movies. As Lance Corporal Stottlemyer, he honestly believed in the work he was assigned to with the Marine Corps. All in all, Travis was a well rounded man, amazing son and true friend and fellow Marine and will be truly missed by many.

FORGOTTEN WARRIOR
