Sgt. Daniel M. Angus       

Sgt. Daniel M. Angus, 28, of Thonotosassa, Fla. died Jan. 24 Angus was assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Angus was deployed to Afghanistan in December 2009. He was a rifleman assigned to 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, Regimental Combat Team 7, 2nd Expeditionary Brigade. Angus was on his third combat deployment to the Middle East. He had served in Iraq from July 2004 to February 2005 and from December 2005 to March 2006. Angus entered the Marine Corps in September 2003 and was promoted to sergeant on May 1, 2007. He was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, two Good Conduct Medals, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and a number of service decorations.

FORGOTTEN WARRIOR
